Pegassi Tempesta in GTA 6: The Huracán With a Lotus Secret
The Pegassi Tempesta is back. The Pegassi Tempesta GTA 6 appearance is confirmed in the second trailer, and it returns as one of the Super class cars that will fill Vice City’s streets from launch day, November 19, 2026.
Most players know the Tempesta as “GTA’s Lamborghini Huracán”, and that is mostly true. But the full design story is stranger and better: the Tempesta’s face and tail come from two Lotus concepts that never reached production. This is the complete breakdown — where the Pegassi Tempesta appears in GTA 6, the real cars behind it, what Rockstar changed for the new game, and what its GTA Online record tells us.
Pegassi Tempesta GTA 6: Where It Has Been Spotted
The Pegassi Tempesta GTA 6 sighting comes from Trailer 2. The car appears in the dusk street scene at the 2:06 mark — a line of cars waiting at a green light on a Vice City street, where the Tempesta sits in traffic among a Banshee, a Growler and a Schafter. Vehicle databases that log every confirmed GTA 6 car list the Tempesta as confirmed from the second official trailer, in the Super class.
Rockstar’s real-world marketing has backed the car up, too. In October 2026, fans in Miami spotted a convoy of real cars dressed as GTA 6 counterparts driving the city’s streets — and a Tempesta was among them, alongside real-life versions of the Cheetah, the Coquette D10 and the Manana. Rockstar does not put a car in a real-world convoy unless it matters in the game.
There is one more detail worth knowing: the GTA 6 version is not a straight copy of the GTA Online car. Rockstar has made small changes — the exhausts are now hexagonal, in the style of the Lamborghini Revuelto, and the tail lights now follow a layout similar to the Alpine A110. Same car, new face at the back.
The Real Car Everyone Sees: The Lamborghini Huracán
The Tempesta’s scale, size and stance come from the Lamborghini Huracán, Lamborghini’s V10 supercar and the successor to the Gallardo. It is the reason the Tempesta looks low, wide and angry in exactly the way a modern Lamborghini does.
The Huracán LP 610-4, the original version, set the template:
- Engine: 5.2-litre naturally aspirated V10
- Power: 602 hp (610 PS)
- Torque: 413 lb-ft
- 0–60 mph: 3.2 seconds
- Top speed: 202 mph (325 km/h)
- Gearbox: 7-speed dual-clutch
- Drive: All-wheel drive
- Production: 2014–2019 (Huracán family ran to 2024)
The Huracán connection explains the Tempesta’s all-wheel drive, too. Where the classic Infernus Classic is rear-wheel drive and tail-happy, the Tempesta puts its power down through all four wheels — in GTA Online it is one of the grippiest, easiest supercars to drive fast. That character should carry into GTA 6.
Two more Lamborghini pieces complete the body. The side intakes and rear arches take their shape from the Centenario, Lamborghini’s limited-run flagship built to celebrate the company’s centenary. And the side profile and skirts borrow from the second-generation Ford GT — the only non-Italian in the mix.
The Lotus Secret
Here is the part almost nobody knows. Look at the Tempesta’s rear: the engine cover, the rear windscreen and the bonnet line are replicated from the 2010 Lotus Esprit concept — a car Lotus showed to the world and then never built. The front tells the same story. The Tempesta’s front fascia and headlights are near replicas of the 2013 Lotus Elan concept, and the tail lights are Elan-shaped as well.
So the Pegassi Tempesta is really three cars wearing one badge:
- Silhouette, size and stance: Lamborghini Huracán
- Side intakes and rear arches: Lamborghini Centenario
- Side profile and skirts: Ford GT (second generation)
- Rear fascia, engine cover and bonnet: Lotus Esprit concept (2010)
- Front fascia and headlights: Lotus Elan concept (2013)
- Diffuser: Liberty Walk’s Huracán kit
- Wheels: Mansory AC.5
A Lamborghini that is secretly half Lotus. That is why the Tempesta never looks quite like a Huracán copy when you study it — the face and the tail belong to two British concepts that died before production. Rockstar’s designers rescued them and put them on the road in Vice City instead.
The Tempesta in GTA Online: One of the Best All-Rounders
The Tempesta arrived in GTA Online on December 13, 2016, with the Import/Export update, and it has been a benchmark supercar ever since. Its record:
- Price: $1,329,000 from Legendary Motorsport
- Class: Super
- Top speed (tested): 121.50 mph (195.5 km/h), tested fully upgraded
- Lap time (tested): 1:00.243 — among the quickest Super class lap times of its generation
- Drivetrain: All-wheel drive, 6 gears
- Weight: 1,422 kg
- Seats: 2
The lap time is the number that matters. Plenty of GTA Online supercars beat the Tempesta in a straight line — the Nero, the Tyrus, the Scramjet — but very few match its balance of speed, braking and all-wheel-drive grip on a real circuit. It is the supercar that forgives mistakes. For GTA 6, that makes it the likely first supercar recommendation for new players: fast enough for anything, stable enough for everyone.
As always, the warning applies: GTA 6 will rebalance everything. The GTA 6 price, top speed and handling of the Tempesta are not published anywhere, and any site quoting you GTA 6 numbers today is guessing. We will test the car after the November 19 launch and update this page with real figures.
What We Still Don’t Know
- GTA 6 price: not published. The GTA Online price is $1,329,000, but GTA 6 prices are a new economy.
- GTA 6 top speed: not published. The GTA Online tested figure is 121.50 mph.
- Where to buy or find it: not confirmed. The Trailer 2 sighting is in normal street traffic, which suggests it spawns in the world — but no dealer or spawn point is confirmed.
- Customisation: unknown for this specific car, though GTA 6 is expected to keep deep Los Santos Customs-style upgrades.
Why the Tempesta Matters for GTA 6
Every GTA 6 garage needs a workhorse — the car you actually drive everywhere while the rare classics sit in the garage. In GTA Online, that car was the Tempesta for thousands of players: supercar speed, all-wheel-drive safety, and a price that did not require a second mortgage in-game.
If Rockstar keeps that balance in GTA 6, the Tempesta will be the most-driven supercar in Vice City. The Huracán looks get the attention. The Lotus bones make it interesting. The grip will make it yours.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Pegassi Tempesta in GTA 6?
Yes. It is confirmed from the second official trailer, where it appears in the dusk street scene at 2:06, and vehicle databases list it in the Super class for GTA 6.
What real car is the Pegassi Tempesta based on?
Mainly the Lamborghini Huracán — its size, stance and all-wheel drive. The side intakes come from the Lamborghini Centenario, the side profile from the Ford GT, and the front and rear fascias from two Lotus concepts: the 2010 Esprit concept and the 2013 Elan concept.
How much is the Tempesta in GTA Online?
$1,329,000 from Legendary Motorsport. Its GTA 6 price has not been published.
How fast is the Tempesta?
In GTA Online, it has been tested at 121.50 mph fully upgraded, with a lap time of 1:00.243. No GTA 6 top speed has been published yet — we will test it after launch on November 19, 2026.
Is the Tempesta all-wheel drive?
Yes, in GTA Online — and the real Huracán is all-wheel drive too. That is a big part of why the Tempesta is so stable and easy to drive fast.
What changed on the Tempesta for GTA 6?
Small details: hexagonal exhausts in the style of the Lamborghini Revuelto, and tail lights in a layout similar to the Alpine A110. The overall car is the same Tempesta.
